Our evening kicked off at Postplatz – a little tired, a little soggy, but full of excitement. For the third time, the hubFactory team started for the REWE Run. And let’s be honest: the weather was not on our side. It was cold, pouring rain, and my glasses instantly turned into a personal waterfall.
But hey – if there’s one thing we’ve mastered, it’s having fun even when the skies are grey. As we made our way to the start line, the mood changed. The rain stopped, the music kicked in, people were dancing (or at least trying), chatting, and smiling – it felt like someone had hit the “party mode” button.
Then: the starting shot. Off we went – not just running, but dancing between puddles like pros in a splashy obstacle course. One of the best parts? The tunnel at Wiener Platz: cool, dry, lined with cameras, and giving us VIP energy. Also, a good reminder that cars are huge when you’re on foot.
We passed cheering fans, drum groups, and water stations – but sometimes you need more than that. Like a strong pat on the back from me (hi, I’m Denis!) to give my colleague the final boost toward the finish line at Rudolf-Harbig-Stadium. I stepped in for my dad Andrian, who unfortunately couldn’t run this year – but we’re saving him a spot for 2025!
At the end: medals, goofy group pics, wet hair, and that unbeatable feeling of having done something together.
Bottom line: No matter what the weather throws at you – when you stick together, the clouds usually clear up on their own. 💪🌤️
Thanks to everyone who made this evening unforgettable – and see you next year!
